Eggs are generally laid by female animals of some species such as birds, reptiles, fishes and amphibians. The eggs from reptiles and birds have the following features; they are eggshell to protect
the egg, egg white, egg yolk and some thin membrane.
 Eggs consume by human are from chicken, caviar, ostrich, quail, and guinea fowls and so on. The popularly consumed by human are eggs gotten from chicken.

1.      Eggs contain a whole lot of nutrients
An egg does not only contain high protein, but LUTEIN which helps fight blindness. A healthy fat that helps you feel satisfied. Antioxidants that help reduce aging effects and also help to fight cancer.

2.      Eggs has unlimited ways to be cooked
Eggs can be cooked and eaten in so many ways from hard boiled, egg omelet with vegetables, add boiled eggs to salad. Egg can also be used for cooking sauce for yam, bread and rice. It is also an ingredient in most pastries.

3.      Eggs come in brown or white shell
The colour of an egg doesn’t determine the nutritional value or it quality. The colour of an egg depends largely on the breed of hen that lay the egg. The white feathered hen lays white eggs while the red feathered hen lays brown eggs.

4.      Eggs contains albumin
Albumin is a kind of protein found in the blood, it give the body protein needed for repairs of tissues and also maintain growth. It also helps in removal of extra fluid from swollen tissues and guess what, it means egg is good for reducing hangovers. 

5.      Eggs can float or sink
The floating or sinking of eggs in a bowl of water only tells you how fresh an egg is. If an egg floats in a bowl of water it means it is not fresh, but if it sinks it means the egg is. This is because an egg develops larger air pocket in it shell as it ages.

6.      Eggs can spin
If you want determine if an egg is hard boiled or fresh. If you spin an egg and it sways it mean it is raw, but if an egg spins easily it means it is hard boiled.
